My wish list of books for Christmas

What a lovely frosty start to the morning. Everything looks so pretty. I couldn't resist - I was in the back garden shortly after it got light taking photos in my nightwear! Very Christmassy looking (not my nightwear, the frost).

Thinking about Christmas, I don't know about you but my wish list always contains a pile of books. A friend recently asked if there was book I'd like for Christmas. Last year I gave her a list which meant there was still the element of surprise. I've just done the same thing. While I was in London yesterday I nipped into Waterstones (fatal) and browsed the tables. I soon found something and then something else......

I took photos of the book covers and sent the list to my friend. The books are:

Sleep - C L Taylor
Homeland - Walter Kempowski
To The Island of Tides - Alistair Moffat (non fiction, history of Lindisfarne)
Christmas Days - Jeanette Winterson
Bridge of Clay - Markus Zusak

I also have a list which I will giving to hubby and the boys (and hope they discuss) with four other books on it:

Ellie & the Harp Maker - Hazel Prior
Murder in the Minster - Helen Cox
The Almanac: A Seasonal Guide 2020
Stanley & Elsie -  Nicola Upson (non fiction about the painter Stanley Spencer

I do have other things on my list that aren't books, one is a glass measuring jug because my son took my best plastic one to bail out the water in his fish tank and it's still in his room in use!

So what is on your Christmas list, books or otherwise?
