I do have a plan now. That's something. I am preparing 5,000 words from the draft novel I wrote for NaNoWriMo in 2014 to enter a first drafts competition. I still have the synopsis to perfect (huh) and then I have to print it all off (postal entries only). Yesterday my printer died on me so I need to buy a new one. Thankfully, I still have a month before the deadline ends.
After that's done I think I'll go back to the comic novel and do more edits (I've had some mulling time and there are few things I want to change). Once it is ready this will go out to an agent. Finally, I will go back to the first novel over which I went into meltdown a few weeks back!
I heard about two more competitions I entered and did not even appear on the longlist/shortlist. I am trying to stay positive but am still at the 'why do I bother' stage. I'll get over it.
The programme for the Winchester Writers' Festival should be going live on 22nd February. That should be worth a look. There is always so much to choose from in talks and masterclasses.
That's my ongoing schedule. What's yours?
Busy lady. Keep on keeping on, as they say. You will get there soon. Good luck with the synopsis - the shortest part, yet feels like the toughest.
